Mizuho has been recognized by IFR for our work last year including awards for Americas Loan House of the Year and Yen Bond House of the Year. We were also acknowledged for our roles in more than a half dozen high-profile transactions including one of the largest green loans to fund an acquisition of renewable energy assets.
Mizuho won Americas Loan House of the Year for the development of our loans business across investment grade, leveraged finance and project finance. Using our breadth of products allows us to create innovative financing solutions for clients including to support acquisition financings. Mizuho’s impressive lending push has catapulted the bank’s U.S. investment grade business to rank as the largest non-U.S. financial institution, beating out all but the top four U.S. money-center banks.
IFR Editors wrote of Mizuho:
“Mizuho has taken a client-centric approach to financing corporates and sponsors, using a product-agnostic view to find the best solutions across investment-grade loans, project finance and leveraged finance to fund business operations, investment and acquisitions. It views its loans business as part of an overall growth strategy.”
Mizuho also won Yen Bond House of the Year for sweeping the international yen bond league tables. The bank successfully navigated Japan’s central bank interest rate policy change and, among other clients, shepherded Berkshire Hathaway to raise trillions of yen-denominated bonds.
Mizuho also played roles in the following award-winning transactions:
