GTR India Trade Finance Conference 2024

Global Trade Review (GTR) organised an exclusive one-day trade finance conference in Mumbai on May 22, 2024, where more than 600 delegates across the trade finance industry attended to network and connect with key experts, industry peers and potential clients. The key focus of the event was to reflect upon latest challenges and opportunities in the industry, exploring the impact on trade flows and financing, support for SMEs and credit solutions, as well as how businesses can increase their digital innovation and ESG compliance, as the trade sector realigns with evolving economic conditions and geopolitical forces across export regions and its key trade partners.
Mizuho Bank India was one of the Gold sponsors at this year’s GTR India event. We had an interactive booth onsite where our team engaged with conference delegates, who were excited to receive personalised caricature photos of themselves.
Besides having a booth presence at the exhibition hall, Jeetesh Bhatia, Head of Global Transaction Banking, Mizuho Bank India, was invited as a panel speaker at one of the sessions: “Supply chain finance in India: Priorities for addressing scale and adoption barriers.” He shared his insights on the evolution of different structures of supply chain finance for scale adoption and adaptability and on the criticality of sustainable financing.
