Post BOJ Monetary Policy Meeting - Video Conference Call

We invite you to join us for a post Bank of Japan (BOJ) Monetary Policy meeting analysis from Shunsuke Kobayashi (Chief Economist) and Shoki Omori (Chief Desk Strategist for Rates & FX); both from Mizuho Securities, Tokyo.

BOJ hike this month is priced in around 80% at the time of writing. As you remember, the communication from Governor Ueda at the last BOJ meeting was dovish, however Bloomberg headlines and Himino’s speech changed the picture. Having said that every meeting is live and we are closely monitoring what messages will be sent by Mr. Ueda this time again.

Shunsuke will share his views on the implication of the BOJ’s decision for Japanese economy for 15 minutes, followed by Shoki who will discuss the impact on the Rates & FX markets, along with trade ideas, moderated by Evelyne Gomez-Liechti, Multi-Asset Strategist from Mizuho International PLC.
