Post BOJ Monetary Policy Meeting - Video Conference Call

We invite you to join us for a post Bank of Japan (BOJ) Monetary Policy meeting analysis from Shunsuke Kobayashi (Chief Economist) and Shoki Omori (Chief Desk Strategist for Rates & FX); both from Mizuho Securities, Tokyo.

We do not expect any policy changes at this January MPM as a result of the tragic events that have occurred in Japan this year; however we await to see if Ueda will maintain his dovish tone which was observed in December. Most investors expect the exit of NIRP at the April MPM, so any hawkish hints in his views of trends in inflation and wages will be key.

Shunsuke will share his views on the implication of the BOJ’s decision for Japanese economy for 15 minutes, followed by Shoki who will discuss the impact on the Rates & FX markets, along with trade ideas.
