London, 9 October 2019: Mizuho International today announced appointments within its Fixed Income business. All appointments are effective during September and October.
Ed Brunni joins us from HSBC in the High Yield Trading team where he will be trading high yield, cross-over and hybrid corporate securities.
Steve Munday also joins the High Yield Trading team. Munday joins us from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was Director in High Yield Credit Trading.
Chris Nias joins the Securitised Products Trading team. Nias will cover secondary trading in ABS and CLO products and provide collateral expertise for the primary and financing platforms. He was most recently at Barclays where he co-led ABS Trading.
Brunni, Munday and Nias will report into Claus Jorgensen, Head of EMEA Credit Trading.
Johnny Vivas joins the SSA trading team from Deutsche Bank where he worked on the Central Bank Sales desk. He brings with him product and client knowledge in the SSA space and is now applying this to a trading role. Johnny previously worked with us on the Rates Sales desk and we welcome him back to Mizuho. Vivas reports into Greg Hickling, Head of Cash Rates Trading.
Tristan Lagariggue joins in Investment Grade (IG) Sales, France/Belgium/Luxembourg. Tristan joins from Credit Agricole Paris where he was Head of Credit Flow Sales for France/Belgium/Luxembourg.
Russell Feldman joins the High Yield Sales team. He will focus on High Yield and High Frequency Sales to hedge fund clients. Feldman was most recently at NatWest Markets in Leveraged Credit Sales. Also within the High Yield Sales team, Jack Czarnota joins us from Jeffries and will focus on real money clients.
Lagariggue, Feldman and Czarnota will be part of the sales effort run by Roy Martins, Head of EMEA Institutional Sales and Client Relationship Management.

Prior to joining Mizuho International, Brunni was at HSBC where he traded where he traded European corporate investment grade cash, corporate perpetuals and XO names. He has held previous roles at UBS, Bank of America and ANZ.
About Steve Munday:
Munday is an experienced trader and joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was Director in High Yield Credit Trading. Munday was previously with Nordea Markets in Copenhagen as Chief Dealer, Credit Trading and with Credit Agricole in High Yield Credit Trading.
About Chris Nias:
Nias was most recently at Barclays where he co-led ABS trading. Prior to this, he was at Credit Suisse and was instrumental in developing a market leading franchise within CMBS trading and CRE loans.
About Tristan Lagariggue:
Lagariggue joins Mizuho International from Credit Agricole Paris where he was Head of Credit Flow Sales for France/Belgium/Luxembourg. He began his career at JP Morgan London in interest rate derivatives sales, and then worked at Deutsche Bank in Credit Sales.
About Russell Feldman:
Feldman was most recently at NatWest Markets in Leveraged Credit Sales before joining Mizuho International. He began his career at Deutsche Bank in High Yield research, has been an investor at RBC Prop, Brevan Howard Credit Fund and UBS Prop.
About Jack Czarnota:
Czarnota joins Mizuho International from Jeffries. He began his career as a Credit Analyst at Chemical Bank and BNP Paribas, and moved to High Yield Sales at ING, Citi and HSBC
