London, 1 August 2024: Mizuho EMEA, part of Mizuho Financial Group - one of the largest financial institutions in the world, announces the appointment of Paul Stephens as Managing Director, Chief Information Officer (CIO), EMEA.
With over 35 years’ experience in Financial Services Technology, Stephens joins Mizuho EMEA from Standard Chartered Bank in London, where he was regional CIO. Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, Stephens spent 11 years at UBS holding various senior technology roles as well as the beginning of his career at Barclays, holding various senior technology roles across the EMEA and APAC regions.
Stephens brings with him a technical breadth of knowledge, leadership and a strong background across both commercial banking and securities technology solutions. He also understands the complexities involved in supporting and embedding transformational change.
