Mr. Takahashi was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Mizuho International plc in April 2022. He is currently Managing Executive Officer, Head of Global Investment Banking Division, Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. and Group Executive Officer, in charge of Cross-entity Strategy,
Corporate & Institutional Company / Global Corporate Company / Global Products Unit, Mizuho Financial Group Inc.

He has 32 years of extensive financial services experience, having begun his career at The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan, Limited. He joined Mizuho in 1999, and has held several key positions across the investment banking division including Executive Officer, Head of Consumer Retail Investment Banking Sector and Head of Advisory Department IV.

Mr. Takahashi graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Department of Spanish Studies.
