Mr Koehler was appointed to his current role as Chief Risk Officer of Mizuho Securities Europe GmbH in November 2018 covering Legal, Risk and Compliance.

He joined from TP ICAP where he was Chief Risk Officer EMEA and prior to that Global Head of Risk at ICAP. Mr Koehler started his career with Deutsche Bank as a Chartered Banker and post-graduation went on to serve in the areas of Legal, Credit Risk and Operational Risk Management in New York, Frankfurt and Tokyo. Subsequently Mr Koehler extended his wide range of risk management related experience in trading & sales businesses with senior appointments at Barclays, RBS, Bank of America and Nomura in London.

Mr. Koehler studied Economics and Law and is admitted to the Bar in Germany.
