What do you do at Mizuho?
I manage the team that is responsible for all exchange traded derivatives systems and processes. We work closely with all the business and corporate functions to facilitate their IT needs.

What surprised you about Mizuho?
Prior to joining, I was aware of Mizuho’s large Japanese presence, however I was surprised by the extent of Mizuho's global footprint.

What’s a particularly proud moment you’ve had here?
I’m particularly proud when we work closely with the business to find solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations.

What’s something you’ve learned from another culture?
I travel extensively and always learn something new from different cultures. This is one of the joys of travel. But the most important thing I've learned is that we are all more alike than we are different.
