What do you do at Mizuho?

I am part of the HR Business Partner Team. I support the Markets division which include the Fixed Income, Equity and Futures Divisions. While every day is different in HR, the most rewarding part of the day is working alongside and supporting such great people. 

What surprised you about Mizuho?

How our management team handled moving us through a pre and post pandemic work environment. The thoughtfulness and care they put into every aspect and communication was impressive and I continue to be inspired by how well this was managed. The human element was put above all else and I think this has only made us stronger and more bonded during a very delicate and fragile period.

How would you describe Mizuho's culture and people?

I interned at Mizuho while in college and always thought I would come back – and I did, 8 years later. The people and the culture really resonated with me and I have always felt a sense of belonging and connection. In my 7 years at Mizuho, I have witnessed and experienced many changes both personally and professionally, and the continuous support and guidance from my fellow colleagues has always been incredible. 

In my perspective, the culture at Mizuho has always been unparalleled. 

What skill or competency do you feel you've enhanced while at Mizuho?

I feel that I have embraced our white-glove service model and especially enjoy going above and beyond to welcome in our newcomers.
